Metro art

During the “Normalization” period (1969–1987) in Czech Republic huge amount of orders was guaranteed by law. One of the laws was to obligatory spend 1%-4% of total project budget for “decoration”. In this way communist authorities provide educated sculptors with work and salary in order to obtain their loyalty and use them for propaganda. As a result, a number of art works were created. They can be seen on the underground walls up to this day. These objects are signs  of the history and changes in the Czech Republic.
